Tiny Whoop Repair … First Checks After a Crash

A crash does not tell you which part needs replacing. Start with what changed… then work toward a specific answer.

Start with an unplugged inspection

Disconnect the flight battery, USB and other power before examining the aircraft. Take clear photos of the frame, props, plugs and any visible damage. Keep a damaged or suspect battery out of use and charging.

Before any powered motor bench test, remove every prop and follow the procedure for your exact model.

Describe the problem

Write down what happened immediately before the fault. Does the aircraft fail to power on, refuse to arm, lose video or flip at takeoff? Those symptoms call for different checks.

For a Betaflight aircraft that will not arm, record the arming prevention message or CLI status output rather than trying to bypass the protection. Betaflight’s troubleshooting guide explains these messages.

Identify the hardware before choosing parts

Record the exact aircraft and board revision, receiver system, video system and battery specifications. Include a photo of the original part and its connector. Appearance alone does not establish compatibility.
